History Cupboard – my new YouTube channel

I’ve started a new TV channel on the internet on which post short videos about interesting people and stories from history. It’s called History Cupboard, mainly because I thought that sounded quite cute, and also because I write my historical novels in a shed in my garden, not much more than a cupboard. I hope you check out History Cupboard and “like and subscribe” and share the video clips with other people.

I plan to do a new History Cupboard episode every week, discussing topics ranging from Viking berserkers to medieval politics and warfare, to the legend of King Arthur to that of – guess who? – Robin Hood. I really hope you enjoy my weekly musings on various subjects. This week, for the inaugural episode, I’m talking about Colonel Thomas Blood, who is one of the main characters in my 2017 novel Blood’s Game. He attempted the most audacious jewel heist of the 17th century – and possible of all time. It’s only 7 minutes long, so give the Colonel Blood video a watch and tell me what you think.
