History Cupboard #7: The mysterious Englishman who rode with the Mongols

I’ve been a bit lax about doing my History Cupboard videos recently – basically, I’ve been incredibly busy publishing a new Robin Hood book and launching the first novel in a new Mongol series, Templar Traitor, which is based on a true story, as well as writing the next one in the Mongol Knight series. But I managed to film this about Robert of Hadlow, my new hero, a real historical individual from southern England, who ended up fighting for Genghis Khan in the 13th century. It’s about 9 minutes long. Hope you enjoy it!

Templar Traitor is available in paperback from Waterstones and all good bookshops, and available from Amazon in eBook and audio versions. Robin Hood and the Heretic Prince is available here.
