Q&A session on my History Cupboard YouTube site – ask me anything
I will be making a new video at the end of this week (posting it on Friday, January 10) for my History Cupboard YouTube channel. It will be a Q&A with readers about my life and work. Use the Contact form above to ask me anything you like, advice about publishing your novel, how I got the inspiration for the Outlaw Chronicles, why Tor is so angry all the time in the Fire Born stories . . . and I will try to answer your questions in the video. Meanwhile, here is a History Cupboard video about what I’m doing in 2025.
My latest novel Blood of the Bear (Fire Born 5) is out now in paperback, audio and eBook formats. If you don’t know the series, but you like epic Viking yarns, start with The Last Berserker (Fire Born 1). My recent King Arthur novel, The Broken Kingdom, is now available as a paperback (containing all episodes) and the audio book will be out in February 2025. More in that series coming at the end of this year or possibly early in 2026.
If you have enjoyed any of my books, please leave a short review on Amazon or elsewhere. It really makes a huge difference to my professional life and encourages the algorithms to spread the word.
Thank you!
How long does it take you to research, places and characters in your Robin Hood books? Do you travel to the areas you write about?
Thanks Miranda! I will try to answer that on Friday in the video Q&A

Does being a proper author diminish your enjoyment of just reading books for fun? Especially other historical fiction?
Thanks Nick. I will try to answer that in the video. Best, A
